Dylan Werner - Inversions and Arm Balance Intensive

Inversions and Arm Balances are beautiful tools that we as yogateachers and practitioners use to overcome fear, build trust and courage, and a deeper connection to the self through challenge, perseverance, andself-study. This intensive is designed to give you as the teacher the proper tools and understanding of the physical, mental and spiritual components of inversions and arm balances for you to use to improve the way you teach and demonstrate inversions and arm balances. In class, we will cover the movement, structure and anatomical support of foundational inversions and arm balances such as headstand, forearm stand, handstand, crow, crane, peacock and several other arm balance poses. We will also include different assists and teaching tools to help our students be successful along the journey. Half of the workshop will be taught through lecture, covering theory, philosophy, and anatomy, the rest will be practical, working through understanding the deeper layers of the poses in our own body as well as several different ways to assist the poses. Über Dylan Werner

Dylan Werner is an inversion and arm balance master and is regarded as one of the world leaders in yoga strength training and body weight movement. Dylan is a diverse teacher, able to bring the most advanced concepts of yoga and movement to anyone at any level. With a background in wrestling, rock climbing, martial arts, health and fitness, Dylan found yoga to be a culmination of everything he loves. He was first introduced to yoga through his martial arts training. Dylan started teaching in 2011 after 10 years of advanced movement training. While his practice appears very physical, he believes it’s only a tool to discover yourself, find clarity, peace, presence and meditation.
