About Dwayne Holliday

Dwayne Holliday began his yoga journey at 23 years of age as a compliment to his work as a professional ballet dancer. His yoga path has led him through Ashtanga, Iyengar and Anusara practice, before finding his way to Vinyasa Yoga, which is the style in which he teaches. He teaches regularly in Cologne, Germany at various yoga studios including the Yoga Loft and Vishnu’s Couch. He has participated extensively for over 5 years in the Yoga Loft 200h Teacher Training and in 2019 a 300h . He has taught at the Yoga Conference Germany, will teach there again in 2019, and teaches workshop across the NRW, as well as in Holland. He is also one of the initiators and organisers of the Open Up Yoga festival in Cologne, Germany, which raises money for arts classes  for refugee youths in the NRW. Along with his Yoga Teaching certificate, he has over 2000 hours of relevant education ranging form two years of university anatomy, 400 hours of Gyrokensis teacher education, yoga updates, and experience in various somatic practices. He also enjoy exploring various other physically oriented forms including animal movement, contact improvisation, capoeira and callisthenics. He regularly creates and performs in contemporary dance projects and is currently writing a doctoral dissertation in Dance Studies.  His path attests to the value of and eclectic and curious practice. He is committed, body and soul to the practice of embodying and living and sharing yoga.
